10 Things I Keep in My Car as a Mom
I try to keep my car as minimalist as possible, so here are my essentials I wouldn't leave without.

As a mom of two, I know a mom car a little too well. My car is my number one easiest area to get disorganized and overwhelming. One thing I have done is try to keep my car a little more organized so that it doesn't continue to get too much to manage. I have learned through much trial and error that these ten things will actually be useful and easy to implement in a car.
Car Trash Can
I will be the first to say that my toddler and I love a little road snack. From graham crackers for the littles to my quick drive-through lunch, trash can easily start piling up in your car. I have a favorite larger trash container that I can use for travel, or even for everyday waste. As a mom on the run, I don't always have time to take everything out of the car every single time, so these make it easier so I can empty my trash at the end of the week while still keeping my car clutter-free. This classic one can go behind your seat or anywhere on the floor, and it has options for personalizing your space. There are many small options too, if you don't create too much waste in the car. Like this cup holder trash can. It's easy for me to say that this has been one of my favorites.
Wet Bag
Wet bags can be so versatile for us moms. I use ours for blowouts, gym clothes, swimming clothes, and so much more. These come in so many cute styles, and I promise you will use them so much. I've even seen cloth diapering moms use them for their babies' diapers! In case of an emergency, these will always come in handy!
Extra clothes
Speaking of blowouts, I always keep extra clothes for my kiddos on hand. But something I never did until I learned the hard way was keep an extra change of clothes for myself. I was babywearing my daughter when, all of a sudden, her blowout started streaming down my leg. My outfit was ruined, and I had nothing for myself, so I had to call it a night and head home early. Now I ALWAYS keep at least a pair of leggings and a simple T-shirt for myself in the car. I like these plastic cases that I can use to keep everyone's outfits separated, or you can also use a wet bag to store them. I've seen many moms use a caddy to organize everything as well. Whatever works best for your family will do the trick!
Wipes
I know... very straightforward. But I keep a few different types of wipes in the car that all serve a different purpose. First is the classic baby wipes, so versatile for wiping my kids down, their seats, and any simple spills. My personal favorite wipe is Huggies. I will also keep a disinfecting wipe on hand to sanitize toys, carts, and anything else I may need. My favorites are Clorox and Lysol. I also carry Wet Ones hand sanitizing wipes for little hands and big hands alike. Lastly, I carry car wipes to wipe the dash, doors, and any spills, along with window wipes. These all come in handy so often, and you can easily toss them in your car trash can afterward, lol.
Diaper Supplies
I have two little ones in diapers, so I am not unfamiliar with a car diaper change. Of course, keep extra diapers on hand, always. I also keep a changing pad for trunk changes and trash bags for diapers. Although it seems like an obvious thing, it's an essential I always recommend.
Snack Containers
My oldest is a little snacker, so over time, I have saved some of my favorite containers that she uses. There are a few options that I personally like, such as a 6-compartment, a spill-proof option, and stackable containers. She will still reach her little hand out and ask for a bite of whatever I'm snacking on too, but these help with her snacking a lot.
First Aid Kit
Plain and simple, a travel first aid kit for any cuts, scrapes, and bumps we encounter along the way.
Car Registration Holder
One thing I like to keep handy is a registration and insurance holder. The one I use has a few different color options to fit your style. I keep my documents in there just so they are easy to access, and because sometimes I can stuff random papers and receipts in my glove box and center console without giving it a second thought. Definitely a must-have.
Car Caddy
I know I have mentioned car caddies a few different times in this post, and it is for good reason. They are a staple to keep in your trunk without taking up too much space. This one has a few different options for color and size, making it easy to find the perfect one for you. I have repurchased this for my husband's car and our bigger SUV; it is definitely worth buying.
Blanket
Hear me out: spontaneous picnics, cozy for the kids, seat protection, emergency warmth, etc. There are so many needs for a good car blanket. The one I use zips up and is available in a few different colors.
I hope these items come in handy for you and your family. Thank you for allowing me to share some of my favorites with you.
